Eligible Drivers are anyone who has started in an AMS Cup Series, Truck Series, or IndyCar Series race in the 2016B season and is not eligible for the All-Star Race.
Due to general low turnout for this race in the past, we will only host a Showdown race if AT LEAST 4 eligible drivers are on TEAMSPEAK and ready to race by 9:15pm ET. It will be a 20 lap shootout, with the top 2 finishers advancing to the All-Star Race.
If there are 8 or more drivers ready to race the Showdown at 9:15pm ET, the race will be extended to 40 laps and broken up into two segments. A mandatory caution will be thrown at the conclusion of lap 20, the leader of the race at that time will advance to the All-Star race. Once the field goes back green from the caution (approx. lap 24) they will race to lap 40, with the leader at that time and winner of the race, advancing to the All-Star Race as well.
However, if 3 OR LESS eligible drivers are on TEAMSPEAK by 9:15pm ET, we will let all 3 race.

Race Procedure:
First Segment
25 Laps
Will end at the conclusion of lap 25.
Winner receives $5
Invert
There will be an invert of the finishing order of segment one.
The outcome of the invert will be the starting order for segment two.
At the conclusion of segment one, we will not throw a yellow, everyone will slow down and pull down pit road and stop in their pit boxes.
(If a yellow happens to come out, then we will sort it out then.)
At this time, you may take tires and fuel.
STAY IN YOUR PIT BOX.
Dalton Baldwin will then take a video on his phone of a computer-generated random number of cars to invert and post the video to Facebook.
Once the number of cars to be inverted is determined, we will announce it and have everyone line up at the end of pit road in order.
We will then leave pit road in order, at PACE SPEED, and throw the caution.
Once we pick up the pace car, we will then pace out the caution and go back green.
A max invert of 10 cars is in place.
Second Segment
25 Laps
Will start when we go back green from the caution at the end of seg. one.
It will end once we have completed 25 laps from the lap we go back green on.
Winner receives $5
Mandatory Pit Stop
It will be mandatory for everyone to come down pit road under the yellow between segment two and three.
You are not required to take any tires or fuel.
But, you MUST come to a complete stop in your pit box.
Once you have come to a complete stop in your pit box, you may leave pit road.
Third (Final) Segment
10 Laps
Starts when we go back green from the break.
10 GREEN FLAG laps. Caution Laps DO NOT count towards the 10.
3 attempts at a GWC.
Winner receives TBD
